My son, Nick, photographed with his fellow historian and collector, Brian Chavez, Museum Guide for The Drum Barracks Civil War Museum in Wilmington, CA. The last remaining original American Civil War era military facility in the Los Angeles area; designated a California Historic Landmark, a Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and host of two events in the C-SPAN Video Library. Since 1987, the barracks has been open to the public as a museum commemorating California's role in the Civil War.
